Total Tranquillity

Please feel free to explore our charming walled garden and rolling green lawns or perhaps allow yourself to relax under the dappled shade of the ancient lime tree while you submerge yourself in the total tranquillity that Tall John’s House can offer. Here you can enjoy the peace of the countryside and the beautiful night skies as there is no noise or light pollution. The perfect place for a romantic getaway or a comfortable spot of relaxation.

Tall John's House B&B

We can offer two accommodation options at Tall John’s House for Bed and Breakfast. Our most popular rooms are the four Manor House superior bedrooms which are situated in the Manor House itself. Three of them have amazing views to the Black Mountains across the green and wooded valley and the fourth looks over into the Victorian walled garden. The rooms are elegant, light and spacious with large Georgian windows and all the character of the period.

Each has its own recently renovated, large and well-equipped en suite bathroom – one with a large walk-in power shower, two with a power shower over the bath and one with a bath tub and a separate walk-in shower. Two of the bedrooms have super king beds that can be split to make twins and the other two bedrooms have king size beds.

Our second option is the converted Stables, which provide comfortable standard double and single bedrooms, all with en suite bathrooms. There is also a downstairs separate double and single bedroom with a shared bathroom. The Stables are a few yards across the lawn from the Manor House and so breakfast for all guests is available in the Manor House dining-room.

All bedrooms are provided with plenty of large, fluffy towels, hair-dryers and a range of soaps, shampoos and shower gels. There is free Wi-Fi available.
