Here are a few of the most frequently asked questions we have received. If your question is not answered below please get in touch with us via our Contact Form and we will answer your question directly.

 
 

Is a washing machine available?

Yes. And also an iron and ironing board.

Is linen provided?

All beds are made up ready with sheets and duvets. Towels are provided.

Are hairdryers provided?

Yes.

Are dogs allowed?

We allow well-behaved dogs in all our properties on the following conditions:-

  1. They do not go upstairs.

  2. They keep off the furniture.

  3. If they are muddy you clean them off before coming in.

  4. You pick up their messes and dispose of them appropriately.

  5. An additional payment of £10 is made

Can double beds be split to make twins?

Yes in the Coachman’s. Yes in 2 of the rooms in Honeysuckle Cottage. Yes in 2 of the rooms in the manor house and 2 of the rooms in the stable block.

What facilities are available for children?

We have cots with mattress and cot sheet and also high chairs all available by arrangement. In the Manor House, although the kitchen is not available for general use, we are happy to provide heating facilities for baby bottles and food.

Is smoking allowed?

No – no smoking is allowed inside any of the accommodation but we have places outside where you can smoke and put your cigarette ends.

Can we bring our own alcohol and do you charge corkage?

You are welcome to bring any alcohol with you and no corkage is charged.

Is car parking available?

There is ample parking outside the property. Cars are parked at the owner’s risk.

Can we invite extra people to stay?

We will do our best to help you but no extra guests may be accommodated above the number agreed at the start of the rental, without prior agreement.

Is there Wifi?

Wifi is available free of charge.

Is there a microwave?

Yes.

Can you provide babysitting?

We cannot guarantee this but will assist you in sourcing a suitable babysitter.

Do you have an emergency telephone number?

Yes – the landline is 01874730653 and the mobiles are 07791764613 and 07971223120.

Will supermarkets deliver to the property?

Yes – Tesco does.

What time is check in?

Check in is between 3 and 6pm. Other times can be organised by arrangement.

What time is check out?

Check out is strictly at 10am unless agreed beforehand.

Is there space outside for us to sit and enjoy or BBQ?

If you are staying in one of the self-catering cottages, you are welcome to bring a barbecue. (There is one provided in Honeysuckle Cottage). If staying in the Manor House, no meals can be brought in as this is not a self catering option and therefore barbecues will not be required.

Are we allowed to set off fireworks?

Yes but please arrange with us beforehand.

Is this property suitable for people without a car?

Honestly – no! Although the village shop and pub are only 20 minutes walk away there is no public transport so you are confined to bicycles.

Is this property suitable for disabled people or wheelchair users?

Sadly most of our property is not really suitable for wheelchair users or the disabled but the Manor House has 2 downstairs rooms available with en suite showers for those who find stairs a challenge. Honeysuckle Cottage also has a downstairs bedroom and bathroom.

Are there DVDs available?

Yes we have DVD players in the cottages and a small selection of DVDs available. There are also some board games.

Is Sky TV available?

Yes, Sky TV is available in the Manor House if hired under exclusive use. In the Coachman’s Cottage and Honeysuckle Cottage we have Satellite Freeview.
