Looking to the Future - after coronavirus

So here we all are in various forms of lockdown and self-isolation.

We hope you are all keeping well and as happy as you can…

This morning we saw our first swallow.  I know the old adage “one swallow does not a summer make”.. but it still gives food for thought.

As we look at our beautiful gardens with buds popping out and flowers beginning to show, and the wonderful hills bathed in sunshine, it is doubly sad to know that our country manor house and both are lovely self-catering cottages are standing forlorn and empty.

And this is replicated across the whole of the Brecon Beacons National Park and of course, across the whole country.

Is there nothing to be done?  You would think no but……….

Perhaps to cheer yourselves up, you are beginning to plan a short break or a little holiday.  Perhaps on your own, perhaps with friends or family.  Or you may be thinking of splashing out and having a family or friends get-together to celebrate when, finally, we are all out and about.

All of us – that is all of us accommodation-providers, hotels, B&B, self-catering or staffed country houses like ours – hope that you will look within the UK for your next little break, stay-away, romantic interlude or family knees-up.

Please search within the UK, or even better within Wales, for your next escape!  It will help us all to recover after these horrible times.

Here at Tall John’s House we are lucky to be isolating in beautiful grounds in a wonderful rural area and we feel huge sympathy for those locked up in much tighter spaces with little chance to escape.

We look forward to seeing you here and hope you will enjoy planning a trip away and looking for that light at the end of the tunnel... The day will come when you can escape again!

Keep safe!
