Tall John’s House is a luxury, fully-catered manor house that you can rent on a B & B basis for individual rooms or, if you are a group you can take exclusive use and have it all to yourselves. Tall John’s House is located within easy reach of such well-known road cycle routes as the Taff Trail and the Radnor Ring. The local roads are nice and quiet, thanks to the low traffic inherent with a national park, so wheeling around the Brecon Beacons is safe and fun for all ages.

For those who prefer to live on the wild side, we are also within easy reach of some of the best mountain biking in the UK, including the Pen-Y-Fan trail, and numerous routes throughout the Black Mountains. We offer complimentary maps and guides to help you plan your route, and we even serve nutritious packed lunches to keep you fueled throughout the day! Best of all, at the end of a long, muddy ride, you’ll return to the peace and luxury of Tall John’s House, where you will be greeted with a roaring fire and fresh crumpets (or for summer riders, perhaps a glass of home-made lemonade on our lawns looking out over the Black Mountains. We even offer a complimentary bicycle cleaning service, including a chain de-grease and oiling – so you’ll be ready to hit the road again on the following day!
