This winter our beautiful stone barn will be restored, rejuvenated and ready for weddings in 2018.

We are planning a blank canvas venue- yours to style as you wish, to create a space that is personal, individual and unique to you. We know every couple is different and your wedding day should reflect that. To help you create the wedding day of your dreams we offer you the chance to make the barn your own - your friends, your family, your style. YOUR day, YOUR way.

You can decorate, furnish, light and embellish the barn to your own tastes and your own budget. So if you’re after that certain flower from your first date to hang from the beams, or the bunting in your favourite colours or maybe a light up bar and mirror dance floor to really get the party started - then not only will we let you do it, we’ll show you where to find it.

Many traditional venues only offer a handful of structured packages, hidden with obligatory choices, ‘must haves’ and hidden extras which can leave couples feeling constrained, hemmed in and with no flexibility, control or power to create the day they really desire. Weddings at Tall John’s House give you complete control to take over the barn from Friday to Sunday.

The icing on the (wedding) cake is that on top of the use of our beautiful barn, you have access to two enchanting, protected courtyards on either side of the barn, with views out across the Black Mountains. You also have the use of the exquisite grounds at Tall John’s House, including the stunning walled garden for pre-dinner drinks and wedding photographs.

Included in the rental are 2 nights in our 3 bed/3 bath Honeysuckle cottage which adjoins the barn. You can use this space as you wish- as a crèche or area for baby-sitters or a self-catering space for family perhaps. We also include the wedding night for the happy couple in our delightful one bed cottage with a wedding breakfast basket supplied.
