In the beautiful Llangorse Lake valley in the Brecon Beacons National Park, not too remote but breathtakingly beautiful, the house itself is surrounded by luscious green lawns, the hideaway walled garden with its rose bower, rill and sweet pea passageway and space.

Lots and lots of space.

The gazebo for civil ceremonies sits on the ‘stage’ of the lawn, the branches of the old oak tree gently stroking the top of the gazebo’s roof. And in summer, if you listen carefully you can hear the quiet hum of the bees buzzing round the ancient weeping lime tree…

If you choose or are forced by the weather to be inside for the ceremony don’t worry. Our beautiful Granary is magical.

And then if you really want lots of options you’ll certainly need that blank canvas space. A barn seems like a good idea. Somewhere beautiful, natural and light- no gimmicks, just pure elegance and lots of original features. A stunning blank canvas that lets you embellish it how you like.

But it needs to be warm and high tech - you want masses of electrical sockets and a killer electricity supply come to that. Great parties need great music. And usually loud music so you don’t want any electrical blackouts. Toilets and a catering space would be helpful. Expert lighting would be a bonus. Ideally a courtyard so you could spill out of the barn for a drink by a firepit or maybe out your own marquee up next to the barn for a chill out zone or a bar area.

The manor house itself is impressive for somewhere to stay - elegant Georgian architecture, luxurious and decadent interiors and meals from our expert chef. Hire the house for the bridal party and really enjoy yourself as a family and have somewhere private away from the wonderful mayhem of the wedding guests, or feel free to do your own thing and let your guests stay there for a B&B option. Or not. We don’t mind.

Then the barn. A wedding barn with a difference. A blank canvas wedding barn that is totally beautiful. Limestone floors, exposed beams, arrow slit windows and up-lit archways. Pure, fresh and light. But we also have underfloor heating, bountiful electrical points, super smart toilets and a catering area.

And don’t forget the idyllic courtyard for drinks, chilling or a small marquee.
