It’s THAT time of the year approaching again: Valentine’s Day. Two words that, on the one hand inspire romance, intrigue and excitement… and on every other hand inspire anxiety, envy, and that desperate last-minute struggle to find a gift for that “special somebody” that is just thoughtful enough to convince them that you really didn’t forget after all. Oh, joy.

Well, this year the team at Tall John’s House have a way for you to bypass all that trouble: a relaxing getaway in the heart of the Brecon Beacons. Why brave the crowded highstreets, hunting down that elusive gift, when you could be relaxing by a warm log fire? Why shove your way into a sweaty, over-worked florists when there is already a hand-picked bouquet, waiting here for you in your luxurious historical bedroom? Why go anywhere at all when you could be staying in the beautiful country accommodation of Tall John’s House?!

We know that everybody’s “special somebody” is a little different. Some of them like food. Some of them like exercise. Some of them are vegan and like to do yoga – some of them like meat and would like never to do yoga again ever since that one time with the public flatulence. Some are even quite hairy, have four legs and bark, and particularly enjoy a long walk in the countryside…

At Tall John’s House we cater for all of these and more. We offer fully-staffed, manor house accommodation for individual bookings or large groups; we run a luxury B&B with beautiful period-style bedrooms, all of which are en suite with full wi-fi capabilities. Our excellent chef can serve any meal by prior arrangement, and we always have a delicious cream tea awaiting guests on their arrival!
