First Daffodil arrives at Tall John’s House

Meet the first daffodil to arrive at Tall John’s House: we have decided to call her Daphne. At the moment she stands alone, for Daphne is a discerning lady and was far ahead of the curve in realizing that Tall John’s House, with its luxury rustic accommodation and farmhouse breakfast, is the perfect place to be this February. Also, she broke up with her girlfriend Dylils on Valentine’s Day (must have spent it somewhere that wasn’t TJH…) and is here to recuperate from the badness.

But don’t worry about Daph or Dyll’s problems – in fact, if you come and stay with us, you won’t have to worry about your own problems either. Spring is on the way – bluebells carpet the woods and New Year’s resolutions have fallen by the wayside. So forget about that gym membership that you never got around to using; forget about patching things up with your mother-in-law (you are quite right, it was her fault) and forget about finally learning the violin. There’s enough horror in the world.

Instead, we invite you to stay with us in Tall John’s House. Spring is the time to be here: the flowers have come, the birds are on their way, and the days are growing longer. Our full-time staff are ready to welcome you with tea, cakes, and the usual cheer. The beds are made, the fire lit, and your emperor-size bed is waiting in your luxury manor bedroom.

So if you’re searching for the perfect retreat this spring, then look no further: Tall John’s House is the place for you. Come alone or bring your loved ones, it’s time to get away.

If you’d prefer to do your own thing we have our gorgeous self-catering cottages available as well. Honeysuckle Cottage for a family group perhaps and The Coachman’s for a romantic post-Valentine’s Day retreat.
