Paws for Thought

With Christmas looming, it’s always a good time to think about that special someone in your life. For many of us, that someone is also the hairiest… they may also have four legs and a tail, and they are probably partial to mud, mountains and stretching out by a warm fire in the evenings!

If, like us at Tall John’s House, you are a dog lover, then you know the joys of walking a dog in the British countryside. However, you will also know the difficulties of trying to find dog friendly accommodation. Well, look no further! At Tall John’s Manor House we offer the perfect retreat for you and your hairy friend. With the Brecon Beacons right on our doorstep, we are surrounded by some of the best walking that Wales has to offer. If you stay in our fully staffed Manor House Accommodation, we will send you on your way each morning with a hearty breakfast (dogs catered for too!) and in the evening we will treat you to tea, homemade cake and a roaring log fire.

Alternatively, you can stay in one of our self-catered, dog-friendly cottages where you and your loved ones can enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the Welsh Countryside. We also offer exclusive use accommodation for larger groups

We have some, we consider very reasonable, dog rules. Please can the dogs not get on the beds or furniture, please can you wipe muddy dogs and please can you pick up and dispose of poos in the garden. I hope you agree that these are reasonably requirements!

– so perhaps it’s time for you and your friends to plan that walking holiday that you’ve always talked about! And you can rest assured that well-behaved dogs will be made very welcome at Tall John’s Manor.
