Tall John’s House is a blank canvas wedding venue in the Brecon Beacons National Park. Although the idea of making the whole celebration your own and in your own style is wonderful and exciting, it can also be rather daunting. We have the solution!

We are lucky enough to have an experienced and amazing wedding planner on our doorstep.

Laura Chesters is warm, encouraging and open to ideas.

She has trained as a dancer, plays the saxophone and likes boxing – so quite a girl! She has just started up her own company called Perfect Weddings by Laura and has created some special wedding planning packages especially for Tall John’s Wedding clients. Now you can choose whether you want help and also how much help you would like.

Fortunately, Laura shares our policy of allowing our couples to make their own choices and to spend their budget as they wish. She has therefore put together several packages to fit different needs from a Full Wedding Planning Service - The Total Stress Free Wedding Package, a Partial Planning and Design Service to a simple Wedding Co-Ordination Service to bring everything together and help on the day.

Her background is a very varied one! She has worked in and out of the wedding industry for the past 12 years. She has spent the last five years working solely for a large local venue as the events coordinator and later events manager. She loves these roles and finds it really rewarding to do something different every day and work with interesting people. She has run all sorts of events from spiritual, holistic and fitness to corporate and of course weddings.

Having been doing this for the last 5 years she has seen so many couples go through the excitement of planning their wedding without enjoying it as much as they should because of the stress they felt. She created Perfect Weddings by Laura because DIY weddings, blank canvases like Tall John’s House and marquees are so popular now but don't come with a planner. She wants to be available if you need someone with experience you can trust to work with and navigate through all the choices that you will need to make. She is a true professional but also a relaxed helping hand to guide you through the process and think of the little details (and the big ones) so you don't have to.!
